Long Branch Shares Expansive New Single “Touchdown (It All Begins With)"
May 11, 2025 – Toronto-based collective Long Branch returns with a striking new single, “Touchdown (It All Begins With),” a poetic and electrifying indie rock track that signals the start of a powerful new chapter for the band. The release arrives today across all streaming platforms.
“Touchdown (It All Begins With)” charts a reflective journey of renewal and looking towards the future with fresh eyes and a deeper awareness. Guided by signs in the sky—birds in flight, distant lights—the song’s protagonist begins to see promise in the path ahead. With past struggles in the rear view, the track invites listeners to find meaning in the present moment and to recognize their place within a broader, ever-shifting landscape. It’s a meditation on humility, grounding, and the quiet power of perspective.
Formed through deep ties in Toronto’s indie, riot grrl, and DIY scenes, Long Branch works as a collective—each member contributing to song structure and creative direction. “Everything we do is rooted in collaboration. When a track becomes a Long Branch song, it reflects all of us,” they share.
